Motion sickness when playing video games

July 14th 2010 01:41
I don't usually suffer from motion sickness when I play games, but my partner does and dependent on the game it can be fairly bad. I bought a game last weekend (Metro 2033) and man, after an hour or so my head was swimming with video game motion sickness. I felt queasy and it was definitely from playing the game.

I've only ever really suffered from game related motion sickness a few times and I figured other people must also. I'm not sure what it is that causes it, but I assume it's the first person sway that some titles use (given it doesn't happen with all FPS titles). How about you? Ever suffered from video game motion sickness?
