Professor Layton Thoughts
May 12th 2008 00:39
Recently I've been playing Nintendo DS title 'Professor Layton and the Curious Village'. It's a quirky puzzle title set in the curious village of St. Mystere. Professor Layton and his sidekick Luke arrive at the village to solve the case of the "Golden Apple", allegedly a treasure hidden somewhere in the village.
There's a cute cartoon story and loads of puzzles to do. I have to admit I thought Professor Layton was going to be a simple puzzle title, since I got the impression it was a kids adventure game, how wrong was I. If you're an adult looking for some tough puzzling fun, you might want to give Professor Layton a try. Don't be fooled by the cartoon packaging, some of these puzzles are hard!
Not sure if this game is fun or frustrating, perhaps a healthy mix of both. You might need help with Professor Layton, but on the upside it's a fun title to involve other members of the family in.

Some games I'd recommend would include:
Animal Crossing Wild World
Mario Kart DS
Puzzle Quest DS
Zelda Phantom Hourglass
Brain Age
Wario Ware Touched!
As most of those have been out for some time, you might even be able to get them on sale.
Good luck!
