Rock Band Australia - Hands On
May 28th 2008 00:56
I thought Rock Band would be good, I just wasn't sure how good, or that it would be worth the over inflated asking price Europeans got stung with. In short it was well worth the money, on numerous levels. This isn't a full review, just one girl gamers look at why Rock Band quite literally rocks!
I previously explained I was lucky to have been able to import Rock Band into Australia. This was a good move, because the fun my family and I have had with it in just a few short days, pretty much neutralizes any pain the initial monetary expenditure had on our wallet.
Rock Band is fun with a capital F. It's simple to pick up and play and even those people in your family who usually berate your gaming hobby may well find themselves as the lead singer in your band. Play alone, or with friends, either way you're in for a treat.
The instruments are all well made, my only complaint would be the tap tap tapping on the drum pad being fairly loud, but this can be sorted out with a trip to Spotlight for some sticky backed felt.
All in all get Rock Band, import it now and have months of fun with family and friends for only a few bucks more than it will no doubt cost when it's finally released on Australian shores (presently loosely slated for late September). Go on, you know you want to.
