Wii Leg Sensors in Shin Pads for Football title?

As I say I'm not one for rumor, but Wii leg sensors do make sense and let's face it if there's a Wii pole-dancing game in the offing, a Wii football game that uses leg shin pad sensors is hardly a huge stretch to make. It will be interesting to see if there's any credence to this rumor, but I have heard it from 4 different people over the last few weeks and one of them works for a rather large games developer.
